Session Summary

Adequate nutrition is vital for positive patient outcomes. This sessions covers hospital malnutrition, its prevalence and impact. Nurses learn nutritional phases in acute illness, enteral nutrition product classification, tube feeding complications and practical strategies for nurses to improve outcomes through dietitian collaboration.

  • Identify the prevalence of hospital malnutrition and the impact of suboptimal nutrition delivery.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies in the prevention and management of enteral feeding challenges.
