Session Summary

This session helps critical, progressive, and acute care nurses build comfort with artificial intelligence (AI) by exploring basic AI literacy strategies, practical uses, and common misconceptions. Using AACN resources, participants will learn how AI enhances - not replaces - nursing expertise, enhancing confidence in this evolving tool.

  • Describe foundational AI concepts and clarify common misconceptions to build comfort with the idea of AI in nursing practice.
  • Explain how AI supports, not replaces, nurses to promote safe, effective, and confident use in critical care.
