Session Summary

Hemorrhage is a leading cause of preventable death in trauma patients. This session equips critical care and emergency nurses with the essential skills to stop life-threatening bleeding immediately. Participants explore the pathophysiology of traumatic hemorrhagic shock and the vital role of early intervention in improving survival outcomes. We review best practices for the rapid application of tourniquets, effective wound packing techniques, and applying direct pressure.
