Session Summary

Water is a fundamental part of life. In healthcare settings, water is essential for hydration, nutrition, infection prevention and patient hygiene. Many healthcare facilities have transitioned to waterless hygiene without examining the safety of properly sourced tap water. This presentation will explore water’s role in infection prevention, historical shifts in its usage, psychological and physical benefits for patients, and the importance of adhering to safe bathing practices.
