Session Summary

This interactive session provides participants with experiential learning using virtual and augmented reality, as well as discussing the role AI plays in simulation. Participants experience simulations utilizing virtual reality headsets. Participants receive a combination of didactic micro learning instruction and virtual reality simulation. The session is conducted in small groups with hands-on instruction. This foundational session is geared toward nurse educators, whether they are in practice or academia. We want the participants to leave having a sense of "AWE"

Objectives

  • Experience extended-reality technology and the use of AI in a variety of simulations.
  • Discuss decision-making in regard to establishing an extended-reality program.
  • Develop confidence in how to effectively utilize XR equipment.
