Session Summary

This interactive, expert-led session equips nurses with tools to design, implement and sustain meaningful change projects. Participants learn strategies to influence and motivate colleagues, overcome barriers and apply implementation science to real-world challenges in their practice. Small-group exercises allow hands-on problem solving, leaving attendees with actionable tools and confidence to drive innovation and improve outcomes in their units.

Objectives

  • Discuss innovative strategies and tools to develop, plan, implement, sustain and engage team buy-in of a change project.
  • Apply a change management theory and innovation concepts to a project addressing patient/staff outcomes to improve work culture.
  • Compare methods to disseminate project outcomes and scale your project to another unit, hospital or system-wide.
