Session Summary

Myocardial Infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is a challenging diagnosis in patients displaying classic heart attack symptoms without blocked arteries. This session explores the complexities of MINOCA and highlights nurses’ vital role in early recognition, assessment and communication. Attendees gain a deeper understanding of this often-overlooked event and learn strategies to identify MINOCA, support diagnosis and improve interdisciplinary communication and management to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Describe clinical features and the underlying mechanism of MINOCA relevant to nursing assessment.
  • Identify nursing intervention to support diagnostic accuracy and care in MINOCA patients.
