Session Summary

Infections cause by various gram-positive and gram-negative organisms are a common problem and often misinterpreted in acute and primary care settings. This session assists clinicians in learning to identify and treat multiple common infections. Information on deciphering cultures, minimum inhibitory concentrations, bactericidal versus bacteriostatic, Karius and biofire testing are discussed. Pharmacology content = 80%
