Nurses Leading Change to Support Well-Being on Your Unit – FAQs

Who should participate?

The target audience is individual nurses in all roles/positions who want to work on self well-being as well as projects for their team/department. Past cohorts have also included multiple individuals from one organization to work on different unit/team projects to address the work environment as a broader hospital initiative.

What’s in it for me? Why should I participate?

Leading by example is key: the art of leading yourself before you lead others is vital. The course focuses on both a stewardship plan for oneself as well as a project plan for one’s unit/team. As Cynda Rushton, moral distress and resiliency expert states, “You matter to the profession … healthy workplaces require belonging … belonging to yourself, your patients, the nursing profession, and to your role or position.”

Will the course be recorded and available for on-demand viewing later?

This course will be recorded and the link will be shared with participants (only). The live, interactive nature of the event is key to the learning experience. The hope is that participants will be present and engage during the virtual sessions.
