2025 NTI SuperSession Emcee Talent Search Rules

  • Contest submissions begin on January 15, 2025, at 6 am PT and end on February 5, 2025, 6 pm PT.
  • Any submissions made after the deadline will not be considered in the contest.
  • Submissions must be entered as an Instagram reel or Tik Tok video from a public profile and must tag the official AACN Instagram page and use the hashtag #NTINextEmcee by February 5, 2025, 6 pm PT.
  • Contest submissions will be collected, validated, and documented. Winners will be selected and announced at 12pm PT on 2/18/25. Any submissions made after February 5, 2025, 6 pm PT, will not be considered in the contest.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Individual (“Entrant”) must be 18 years of age or older to participate
  • Individual (“Entrant”) must reside in the United States of America.
  • Individual (“Entrant”) must be willing and able to travel to New Orleans and participate in rehearsals and performances from May 16-22, 2025.
  • Submissions must be entered as an Instagram reel or Tik Tok video from a public profile and must tag the official AACN Instagram page and use the hashtag #NTINextEmcee.
  • Submissions must be under 3 minutes in length.
  • AACN staff, AACN board members, and AACN vendors are not eligible to win.

Submission Format:

  • Submissions must be entered as an Instagram reel or Tik Tok video from a public profile and must tag the official AACN Instagram page and use the hashtag #NTINextEmcee
  • The submission must include a video. Submissions in the form of text only, photo, or GIF will not be considered valid in the contest.
  • AACN reserves the right to remove submissions that contain vulgar, offensive, threatening, or harassing language, including personal attacks of any kind.
  • Content must be suitable for public viewing. Care or patient-centered locations are prohibited. No third-party logos/marks should be visible.
  • If you post something that we consider to be off-topic, offensive, profane, discriminatory, abusive, or inappropriate, we will remove your submission.

Judging Criteria:

A small committee of AACN nursing professionals will evaluate all eligible submissions based on the following criteria:

1. Creativity and Originality – How unique and imaginative is the video? Does it stand out with a fresh or unexpected approach?

2. Relevance to Nursing or Healthcare – How well does the video represent the field of nursing or healthcare? Are there elements in the content that reflect AACN's mission, critical care, or healthcare themes in a clever or meaningful way?

  • Winners will be announced as a comment under the official AACN Next Emcee post on 2/18/25 at 12pm PT.
  • By submitting a video in the contest, you grant AACN permission to repost and reuse the video across all AACN media channels indefinitely.
  • No purchase necessary.
  • Purchase does not enhance the chance of winning.
  • Void where prohibited (outside the United States of America).
  • AACN staff and AACN board members are not eligible to win.
  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

AACN may prohibit an Entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Entrants or AACN representatives. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest is a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, AACN reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. If for any reason this contest is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of AACN which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then AACN reserves its right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.

Disputes: This contest is governed by the laws of the UNITED STATES AND CALIFORNIA, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this contest, Entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in California having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this contest). Entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless AACN and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the contest; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the contest or the processing of entries.
