About Wendi

Wendi Redfern is a member of the expert advisory panel for Children’s Hospital Association’s Improving Pediatric Sepsis Outcomes collaborative and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s (CHW) system-wide septicemia quality improvement initiative. Wendi has over 25 years of pediatric nursing experience with the past 6 years in the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). She is recognized as an expert in the care of critically ill children and is the CNS for the medical oncology intensive care unit at CHW. She is accountable for nursing sensitive patient outcomes; the prevention of hospital acquired conditions, new and ongoing nursing education and the improvement and sustainment of quality initiatives.
