Crit. Care Transport/Flight
Dan Smith is the Sr. Director of Clinical Affairs for Teleflex, and provides strategic direction and clinical guidance in the development, implementation of educational materials, policies and programs for professional organizations globally. Dan was a former Clinical Manager with the Vidacare Corporation where he coordinated cadaveric procedural programs and clinical education for all product lines within the company’s portfolio. Dan is a certified registered flight nurse and paramedic with over twenty years of experience in both the hospital and pre-hospital patient care areas. Dan has held clinical leadership roles for both ground and air medical emergency response programs, and continues to work clinically as a flight nurse in New Jersey. Dan received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Nursing from Ramapo State College/UMDNJ School of Nursing. Dan’s awards include 2011 Distinguished Certified Flight Nurse -Air Surface Transport Nurse’s Association, 2013 Outstanding Vendor Education Provider -New Jersey Emergency Nurses Association, and 2013 Clinical Manager of the Year – Vidacare Corporation, and 2018 Chairman’s Award, Teleflex. Dan has an extensive amount of clinical experience and knowledge of procedural/product training and is able to collaborate with professional medical organizations to meet the educational needs of their members.
