About Vicki

Vicki Good is a national nursing leader with executive-level experience in nursing, quality and safety, and education. In her current role as executive director of nursing for Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, Good is responsible for a Level I Emergency Trauma Center (STEMI and Level I Stroke) with over 73,000 visits per year. She also writes, presents and serves as a subject matter expert on a variety of healthcare topics — such as patient safety, communication, burnout and establishing joy and resilience in the healthcare setting — and is a past president of AACN’s board of directors. Good’s many professional accolades include a Sigma Theta Tau Excellence in Nursing Practice and Management award, a NurseWeek Nursing Excellence Award in Teaching, and being named one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s “50 Experts Leading in the Field of Patient Safety.” In addition, she is a lifetime member of AACN.
