Elizabeth is a pharmacologist and nurse educator the University of South Alabama College of Nursing, academic health center. She has her PhD in Pharmacology from Michigan State University. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Biology from Hope College. She has been teaching undergraduate nursing students and graduate advance practice nursing students pharmacology and pathophysiology for over 20 years. Her research has focused on several areas including chemotherapy of infectious disease, drugs of abuse use by adolescents, and attitudes regarding opioid prescribing by APRNs. She is interested in the cutting-edge biologics and their effects on non-allergic angioedema. She serves as advisor to the University of South Alabama Medical Center. She is passionate about promoting nurses’ understanding of pharmacology.
