About Renee

Dr. Renee Twibell is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Ball State University Muncie, IN and the Nurse Researcher at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She leads the integration of research into nursing practice at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, IN, while teaching in the masters and doctoral nursing programs at Ball State. She enjoys forging academic-clinical partnerships and supporting nurses and students in finding answers to questions that matter. She was President of the White River Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and has served on a variety of committees for AACN. She has contributed three dozen refereed publications to the professional literature and given over 250 presentations at health care conferences. She has won numerous awards in nursing, including Indiana Nurse Educator of the Year in 2014. She is a certified nurse educator and finds joy in conducting original research and applying existing research to clinical practice.
