About Rebekah

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, I support the professional development of nurses and provide education where able. I lead by enthusiastically embracing learning and modeling professional commitment. My primary mission is to empower direct care nurses to lead improvement work from the bedside. As an alumna of the AACN Clinical Scene Investigator (CSI) Academy, I was provided with time and tools to improve my own nursing unit, and now I enjoy being able to pay this gift forward by mentoring clinical staff nurses who are engaged in evidence-based practice. I began my nursing career in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Harborview Medical Center in 2008, where I progressively acquired leadership roles related to nursing education. I currently serve as Nurse Educator to three medical-surgical telemetry units, 3 East, 4 East, and 5 East. My interests include nursing shared governance, neuroscience nursing, telemetry, respiratory support, nursing documentation, and simulation.
