Chapter Involvement Opportunities at NTI

AACN’s in-person National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition (NTI) in San Diego offers a perfect opportunity for AACN chapter leaders and members to engage and network with each other. We are pleased to offer an array of chapter-focused activities for attendees, including our annual Chapter Leadership Development Workshop, Host Chapter Ribbon Wall, mastery and concurrent sessions, and poster presentations. We hope you will join us!

Chapter Leadership Development Workshop (CLDW)

Sunday, May 17, 2026, 1-5 p.m.
San Diego Convention Center

The Chapter Leadership Development Workshop (CLDW) focuses on critical components for both novice and seasoned chapter leaders to successfully manage and lead their chapters while carrying out the mission work of AACN. Developed using AACN’s Healthy Work Environments framework, participants learn skills to enhance their personal leadership development and apply those skills to lead chapters.

If you already registered for NTI, but not CLDW, contact our friends in Customer Care to amend your registration. They are available Monday to Friday at 800-899-2226. We look forward to seeing you at CLDW!


Host Chapter & NTI Ribbons

Our San Diego Area Chapter welcomes you to the annual NTI conference and hopes you enjoy your stay in their city – there is so much to enjoy at this year's conference! Chapter volunteers will be available to answer your questions. If they can help you in any way, please ask!

Be sure to take some time to explore San Diego. After focusing on education during the day, you will appreciate the array of experiences available at night, too. Learn more.

Stop by the Host Chapter Ribbon Wall to say hello and pick up your NTI ribbons. If this is your first time at NTI, begin participating in the popular tradition of collecting ribbons that recognize and display your accomplishments — such as chapter member, board member, volunteer or ambassador — and many other fun ribbons. Certification ribbons are available in the Certification Oasis booth in the Resource Center.

Chapter Best Practice Posters

New this year! The Chapter Best Practice Posters will be available to view on a digital platform via kiosks throughout the convention center. PDF versions will also be available on the NTI conference site. With this change, there will not be a meet-and-greet with the authors this year. This year’s four featured posters are as follows:

NTI Chapter Member Rebate

AACN is offering two rebate options for chapter members:

  • $75 rebate for chapter members who register and attend NTI in person, May 17-20 (Rebate applies to full-week registration only; not valid for daily registration)
  • $50 rebate for members who register and attend Virtual NTI, June 15-17

What you need to know about NTI chapter rebates:

  • The rebates are available to every current chapter member who registers for and attends the conference, either in person or virtually.
  • The rebate cannot be combined with any other rebate or discount program.
  • Purchase of registration fees must be made by check, credit card or cash.
  • To apply for the rebate, complete the rebate form. Email it to nti@aacn.org.
  • The rebate applies to the NTI Main Conference Registration fee payment only.
  • The rebate will be payable to the original payor only.
  • Submit your rebate application anytime after you receive your NTI registration confirmation. The confirmation is emailed to you once your registration is processed. You do not need to wait until after NTI. In fact, by submitting early, it is possible that you will receive your rebate before NTI.
  • Your rebate will be processed as soon as possible. Please allow six to eight weeks for processing.
  • All rebate applications must be emailed no later than June 9. This date allows AACN to process all rebates in a timely manner, so we can close out our fiscal year on June 30.
