ECMO Learning Opportunities
Deepen your knowledge of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) with a variety of learning opportunities at NTI and after. Use this page to discover all ECMO-focused sessions available at NTI, and continue your learning journey after the conference.
Kickstart your experience with a half-day, expert-led preconference, "ECMO Essentials and Expertise: A Preconference Primer," which is designed to enhance your understanding of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) in critical care, making it ideal for intermediate ECMO providers. This interactive learning experience will cover key ECMO principles, management strategies and troubleshooting techniques to help you build confidence in caring for ECMO patients. This session offers a structured approach to mastering ECMO concepts, making previous education or experience a must (or something similar).
Important: Preconference attendees without prior ECMO education or experience are required to complete "AACN and The Institute for Extracorporeal Life Support - The ECMO Course" in advance to strengthen their foundational understanding of essential ECMO principles and management strategies in critical care. This session builds on core ECMO knowledge and is not designed for introductory-level learners. It offers up to 10 CE hours for nurses, perfusionists and respiratory therapists.
Conclude your ECMO learning experience by obtaining the ECMO Micro-Credential, which validates your knowledge and awards tangible recognition for this specialized skill. As a special offer, attendees of the preconference session can take the micro-credential for free until June 30, 2026.
