Monday

SuperSession — President’s Address

AACN President Terry Davis will share insights and best practices she has learned during her presidential year, building on the AACN theme “Rising Together.” Davis is assistant vice president of nursing at the High Reliability Center, Inova Health System, Falls Church, Virginia.

Distinguished Research Lecture

1:30-2:30 p.m.
CCC — Four Seasons Ballrooms 2&3
Michele Pelter is our 2024 Distinguished Research Lecturer. Pelter is a nurse scientist with a specific interest in hospital-based electrocardiogram (ECG) and physiologic monitoring. She focuses on increasing the accuracy of ECG detection of arrhythmias and transient myocardial ischemia, as well as understanding how false and nonactionable alerts contribute to alarm fatigue in nurses.

Beacon Celebration Reception

AACN leaders will honor the 2023 Beacon Award participants during a special recognition session. Attendees will have time to network with other Beacon units and take photos.

Ryan Leak is an author, executive coach and motivational speaker. He’s the author of the USA Today bestselling book “Chasing Failure: How Falling Short Sets You Up for Success.” He’ll discuss seven key steps toward better self-leadership.

Join AACN leaders to discuss the challenges nurses are facing, and hear about the work we are doing with our community to support nurses and the profession. You’ll have an opportunity to interact and ask questions directly to our presenters. This event is an extension of the quarterly series of listening sessions.

AACN President-elect Jennifer Adamski will inspire us while she shares AACN’s new theme and artwork for the year ahead. Adamski is a clinical associate professor and director of the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Program at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Atlanta, and a critical care ACNP for Cleveland Clinic’s Critical Care Flight Team.

Nurses’ Night Off

6:30-9 p.m.
Celebrate NTI’s 50th anniversary by traveling back in time to the first NTI. Stop by for a sweet treat after dinner dressed in your best ‘70s attire. The convention center’s Blue Bird Ballroom will be transformed into a Studio 54-themed oasis with wraparound views of the mountains. Your NTI registration includes one free ticket, one hosted beverage and a selection of desserts. Shuttle service will be provided throughout the evening.
