Moral injury, which is caused by actions that violate moral beliefs, gained recognition during the COVID-19 pandemic and still affects intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Moral resilience and a healthy work environment may be protective by promoting ethical practice and self-stewardship. This study examined the prevalence of moral injury among ICU nurses in a large, diverse sample late in the COVID-19 pandemic and investigated the independent and synergistic relationships among moral injury, moral resilience, and healthy work environment. By identifying the conditions that support moral integrity, the findings can inform practical strategies for preventing moral injury and fostering ethical practice environments in critical care nursing.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation.
