Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes
Small‑bore feeding tubes are widely used in critically ill adults to deliver nutrition and medications, yet maintaining proper distal placement is essential to reduce aspiration risk and ensure nutrient absorption. Although current guidelines recommend verifying tube location every 4 hours, no validated bedside method exists to support such frequent assessment. This study examined distal migration of small‑bore feeding tubes over time and explored factors contributing to retrograde movement, including the potential influence of endotracheal tube extubation.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
