Anticoagulants are commonly used in clinical practice for a variety of indications, including treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, prevention of acute ischemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation, management of clotting disorders, and treatment of patients with heart valve replacement. Anticoagulation reversal management is guided by the patient and the agent selection and should be approached by the multidisciplinary team weighing the risks and benefits of treatment.
