Activity Summary

Burnout rates among ICU staff has become an area of increased focus given the emotional and psychological challenges that surround caring for patients during a pandemic. Frontline workers who have provided critical care services throughout the pandemic face potentially grave and long-lasting psychological effects. Staff perceived resources to be effective tools that help mitigate the psychosocial stressors encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using strong initiatives, new foundations and lessons-learned from past and current events will help prepare organizations for future traumatic events or pandemics.

  • Identify employee resources to help mitigate psychological impacts during crisis situations.
  • Analyze the awareness and effectiveness of employee well-being resources.
