Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

In this foundational session the implementation and evaluation of a staff nurse-led sepsis project is described. Review of problem identification, team selection, change management, educational interventions and outcome measurement allows attendees to replicate the project at their own facility.

  • Develop steps of project using the Clinical Scene Investigation (CSI) Model.
  • Select specific staff engagement strategies to optimize project success.
  • Evaluate project specific outcome measures.
