Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

The multigenerational workforce is rich with life experiences and unique strengths. There are varying perspectives among the generations related to values, professional goals, work habits and expectations. Using the Healthy Work Environment Standards, a multigenerational panel discusses strategies related to coaching, motivating and communication that can be used by all nurses (in peer-to-peer interactions and leadership roles).

Objectives

  • Identify the similarities and differences among the members of the multigenerational workforce.
  • Discuss strategies to amplify the strengths of the members of the multigenerational workforce.
  • Examine approaches to enhancing collaboration among the members of the multigenerational workforce.
