Activity Summary

Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

This session includes both a presentation and dialogue among a variety of chapter leaders. Some of our board discuss the difficulties we have faced during this past challenging year. Membership and retention is always a challenge, then add in COVID-19 (or any other similar crisis) and the ensuing quarantine and connectiveness and continuity seemed almost impossible. We invite you to participate in this fundamental and informative session that hopefully benefits all.

Objectives

  • Explore struggles and barriers that could lead to chapter membership disinterest and decline.
  • Describe positive qualities needed for teamwork among board members.
  • Share successes and activities that worked for our chapter, and have open discussions and input from others.
