Today’s healthcare industry and workforce is challenging, complex and chaotic. With the recent global disruption of healthcare and society at large, there is a need to combine creativity, collaboration and cleverness to achieve results for staff and patients. This session helps clinicians and leaders embrace change and chaos as an accelerator for innovating. Leaders define innovation, learn the design process and apply innovation or transformation to their unit culture or organization.

Objectives

  • Describe innovation and the process of innovation design.
  • Integrate the principles of leadership and innovation to create cultures of innovation.
  • Apply the concepts and tools of innovation into a real-time example and create an action based plan.
