Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

This session focuses on the impact of living with long COVID symptoms. Evidence-based practices for both medical and alternative therapies for health and healing are reviewed. This session also highlights the role of the RN as an advocate for finding complimentary therapies when no additional medical treatments are offered.

Objectives

  • Describe long COVID symptoms and the role of patient self-advocacy in directing the plan of care.
  • Identify alternative therapies along with modern medicine treatments being used for long COVID symptom management.
  • Discuss therapies and treatments which can be utilized to improve quality of life for long COVID patients.
