This session provides an interactive overview of sepsis, highlighting the nurse’s role in identification and management of patient-specific treatments. The session emphasizes the evolution of guidelines and definitions and how they impact the nurse at the bedside. Engagement occurs through a series of unfolding case studies. Different forms of emerging educational technology are utilized to provide an enriched learning environment. Participants leave with a high-level learning experience.

  • Apply the latest Surviving Sepsis guidelines to an unfolding case.
  • Discuss the controversies related to the current state of sepsis management.
