Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes
In today’s healthcare systems, critical care nurse turnover continues to climb. Strategies to improve nurse retention are essential. This foundational session describes AACN’s Healthy Work Environment Standards and how each relates to patient and nurse outcomes. Further, specific examples of how to implement each standard are reviewed. Finally, we outline ways to convey to your organization how implementing HWE standards can improve nurse retention and promote positive patient outcomes.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
