Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes
ICU staff are well-acquainted with resource scarcity thanks to the pandemic. In this session we introduce learners to a front-line, informed, values-based tool to support prioritizing care. Participants engage in an interactive process to identify situations impacting patient care, explore their own values related to prioritizing care in a setting of scarce resources and explore actions to mitigate moral distress.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation to be awarded contact hours AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
