Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

The metaverse and extended reality are two terms that are generating excitement within education. What is the metaverse and extended reality (XR)? What types of educational activities can be created or available for use in our educational systems? These are some of the questions that are answered in this intermediate session. From creating interactive videos and live courses in XR to using “off the shelf” simulations, the opportunities for engaging students are virtually limitless.

Objectives

  • Describe extended reality technology and the metaverse.
  • Discuss decision-making in regard to selecting appropriate hardware and software.
  • Develop use cases for emerging technology in nursing education.
