Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

As AACN’s Practice Excellence Director, I often find myself saying, “When I was a unit leader, I wish I knew what I know now about AACN’s resources.” In this interactive session, we discuss and formulate ideas for how unit leaders, both formal and informal, can leverage AACN’s resources to develop a blueprint for unit excellence. Leaders leave with greater understanding of the multitude of AACN’s content and resources available at a fingertip, practical solutions for leveraging these resources, and as an added bonus connect with other leaders to exchange ideas and build your network.

Objectives

Identify the various content and resources available through AACN to support unit excellence.
Describe practical approaches with AACN resources to develop a blueprint to bolster unit excellence.
Determine 2 to 3 colleagues to build a network for ongoing support and collaboration regarding unit excellence.
