Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

Learn how to incorporate basic cardiac ultrasound techniques into your clinical practice. Through the use of case study presentation, the facilitator guides the audience in obtaining focused cardiac ultrasound images, diagnosing clinical manifestations and developing management strategies based on ultrasound findings. Though advanced topics of echocardiography imaging are discussed, attendees of all backgrounds are welcome.

Objectives

  • Evaluate the impact of the cardiac ultrasound exam in the inpatient setting.
  • Identify the most frequently used cardiac windows in a focused bedside ultrasound examination.
  • Apply management strategies presented in the case studies to individualized clinical practice.
