The bedside nurse plays a vital role in the detection and management of a deteriorating patient. Utilizing a five-step Quick Look assessment strategy considering airway, breathing, circulation and consciousness, the nurse uncovers clues to a patient's condition. This session utilizes case studies to help the learner apply the five signs in a Quick Look visual assessment to systematically rate a patient’s status and ensure the patient receives timely care and intervention.
