The rise of violence against healthcare workers is an epidemic affecting all aspects of the healthcare profession. The Dynamic Appraisal of Situational Aggression (DASA) was used as an electronic screening tool to identify patients at risk of violence, so that interventions could be put in place to mitigate the risk of violence.
