Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

You may recognize you have knowledge to share, but not how valuable it could be to nurses just starting out in their career. Your ability to influence through sharing your knowledge and experience is needed now more than ever. This intermediate session helps you to overcome your fear and develop the ability to influence one person or 300 through effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills, using demonstrations and live examples. Learn to facilitate with finesse.

Objectives

  • Identify personal barriers to facilitation and strategies to overcome them, using your voice to facilitate learning in small or large groups.
  • Integrate techniques to articulate your message and use of nonverbal tools to enhance engagement and learning.
  • Evaluate key planning techniques to improve your ability to share knowledge and influence with facilitation.
