Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

Practice excellence can be achieved by rising together and applying synergistic principles from evidence-based practice (EBP) frameworks and quality improvement (QI) methods. This session provides advanced knowledge, shares user-friendly approaches and shares practice-based examples that achieved meaningful practice improvements when both EBP and QI principles are used synergistically.

Objectives

  • Examine the intersection of evidence-based practice (EBP) and quality improvement (QI) tools which can be used to advance practice excellence.
  • Determine the benefits of combining an EBP framework with QI initiatives.
  • Identify two strategies to overcome challenges for successful implementation of EBP and QI initiatives in the clinical setting.
