Not enough women realize heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. The purpose of the Go Red for Women Campaign, since its launch, is to increase awareness/research of women and heart disease. Heart disease is still the leading cause of death in women. This session focuses on emerging trends and how cardiac disease impacts younger women, especially those of color. Specific risk factors for women and treatments for women from pregnancy to menopause are discussed.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
