As the resurgence of the PA catheter has emerged, highly skilled nurses need to cultivate a skill in hemodynamic interpretation, catheter troubleshooting and patient management. This session includes a brief overview of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology and a comprehensive exploration of best-practice guidelines for detection and prevention of PA catheter complications and troubleshooting. Case studies illustrate higher-level management strategies in differentiating the types of shock.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
