Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

Nurses care for patients experiencing pain on a daily basis. It is not always easy to provide the degree of desired relief. This session covers evidence-based strategies to implement expert care to patients admitted with acute pain, often complicated by preexisting substance use disorder, chronic pain and behavioral health needs. Pain among older adults is also addressed. Best practices are applied to case studies to provide individualized plans of care.
