Activity Summary

Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

Are you an APP who is comfortable with basic ABG interpretation? Step up your blood gas interpretation with double and triple acid-base disorders. Patients often do not come to us with just one medical problem. Learn how to interpret blood gasses when two or three different disorders occur simultaneously and how to account for hypoalbuminemia. Then apply this interpretation to a differential diagnosis. This highly interactive session includes plenty of practice to solidify these concepts with case-based practice.

Objectives

  • Understand how multiple disorders affect different blood gas values simultaneously.
  • Interpret advanced arterial blood gas labs.
  • Utilize case studies to practice complex ABG interpretation.
