This session focuses on three major areas of clinical use: blood pressure techniques, central venous pressures, and dynamic parameters. Objectives

  • Discern physiologic and technical factors which can impact hemodynamic variables obtained.
  • Describe three key actions for nursing practice that are consistent with the AACN evidence-based PAC/CVP and NIBP Practice Alerts.
  • Determine causes of misleading data and identify implications from case scenarios.
