Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes

Have you ever considered pursuing a volunteer position with AACN? Are you looking to enhance your understanding or application of the HWE standards? If you answered yes, then this is the session for you! Learn how to complete your volunteer profile & select opportunities of interest that relate to HWE standards. Facilitators will discuss both local and national volunteer positions and how the professional impact of HWE and volunteerism has translated to their careers.

Objectives

  • 1. Identify the steps to complete the AACN volunteer profile.
  • 2. Demonstrate alignment of HWE standards as they relate to AACN volunteer positions.
  • 3. Identify potential opportunities to enhance knowledge of HWE through volunteer experiences with AACN.
