Required reading for all learners: Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes
Linked to AACN’s newly published Staffing Standards for Adult Critical Care, the facilitator describes the Sentara Patient Acuity Nursing Tool (PANT) which is an exemplar for implementing those standards. PANT was developed collaboratively with direct care nurses, leaders and information technology experts. The iterative testing and refinement of PANT, implementation across a range of clinical settings, and application to impact patient assignment and staffing grids is described.Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
