Activity Summary

Patients with convulsive status epilepticus (CSE) are easy to identify. Those in nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) often present with altered mental status/subtle signs. This presentation focuses on quickly identifying SE, intervening with appropriate interventions and medications to stop the seizures and developing hospital protocols with EEG monitoring to confirm/manage SE.
