Instill the courage for your team to soar by applying implementation leadership when promoting adoption of EBP. This session is designed for intermediate learners to know how to apply implementation leadership research. The key elements of daily motivational lift, (refocus your energy and re-value the work) are discussed. We cover characteristics of effective implementation leaders, their role and easy to apply implementation strategies. Build EBP into your daily routine by optimizing these leadership activities. Learn how to identify implementation strategies shown to be effective when used by leaders to promote EBP among the interprofessional team.

Objectives

Describe how to optimize the leader’s role to create a unit culture embracing change.
Outline implementation strategies unit leaders can use to effectively implement EBP.
Apply strategies from the examples provided that reflect the courage to be an effective implementation leader, so your team can soar.
