Prerequisite for this session: Review the NCSBN website for the APRN Consensus Model information https://www.ncsbn.org/nursing-regulation/practice/aprn.page. APRN regulation promotes patient safety. Understanding regulation is essential to the APRN's role. In this session, a panel discusses key issues in regulation, education, certification and practice that affect APRNs. Topics include scope of practice, the Consensus Model, NP program director survey results, CNS title protection and transition to practice. There is opportunity for audience participation.
