Karen Giuliano is a professor and co-director of the Elaine Marieb Center for Nursing and Engineering Innovation. Her work focuses on developing safer IV smart pump technology, healthcare product innovation, and non-ventilator hospital-acquired pneumonia prevention.
Karen Meade, MS, APRN-CNS, AGCNS-BC, OCN
Karen Meade is a clinical nurse specialist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with over 16 years of oncology nursing experience. She is a certified oncology nurse and PhD student at UMass Amherst, researching how IV smart pumps impact cancer care and aiming to improve bedside technology and patient outcomes.
Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation to be awarded contact hours AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.
