Description
Lauren R Sorce, PhD, RN, CPNP-AC/PC, CCRN, FCCM, FAAN
Lauren R. Sorce,, is senior director of nursing research and operations at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute. She is also a senior scientist in pediatric critical care medicine and an assistant professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. A pediatric critical care nurse practitioner for 28 years, Dr. Sorce has been a leader in advancing the APRN role and pediatric critical care practice. She has held leadership positions with AACN, the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, NAPNAP, the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), where she served as president. In that role, she co-led the SCCM task force that developed updated pediatric sepsis definitions, contributing to a new framework for its identification.
Learners must complete the entire activity and the associated evaluation to be awarded contact hours AND read Implicit Bias impacts patient outcomes. No partial credit will be awarded.

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
